We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support SunGod’s end-to-end supply chain and help drive operational excellence. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in managing the end-to-end manufacturing process with suppliers—from placing orders through to delivery into our warehouse. You’ll assist in overseeing the performance of our 3PL, communicate with stakeholders across all departments, and proactively support our Customer Experience team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery to our customers.
This role requires a data-driven mindset with an ability to quickly grasp a variety of processes, strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement that will further enhance our operational efficiency. What is the job role?
As an Operations Assistant at SunGod, you’ll support the smooth functioning of our end-to-end supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and to the highest quality. Working alongside suppliers and our 3PL partner, you’ll manage key parts of the manufacturing and logistics process, from placing orders through to delivery in our warehouse and stock management. You’ll collaborate closely with departments across SunGod to keep all stakeholders informed and support our Customer Experience team to contribute to an outstanding customer experience.
This role requires a proactive candidate who can quickly learn and maintain complex systems, databases and processes, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll need to be highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all processes run smoothly.
The ideal candidate for this role is communicative, has a keen eye for operational improvements, and is eager to build a career in supply chain and operations and grow into more responsibility. You’ll report directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Manage the end-to-end manufacturing process with suppliers, from placing orders to coordinating deliveries into our warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate stock availability.
✔ Work closely with our 3PL partner to support day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth fulfilment of eCommerce, retail, and wholesale orders. This includes on-site visits to support stock takes and assess operations.
✔ Track stock levels, proactively address shortages, and keep internal teams updated to prevent out-of-stock situations and minimise disruption to customer orders.
✔ Serve as a key point of contact for departments across SunGod, providing regular updates on stock, order status, and any potential delays, while working collaboratively to solve ad-hoc operational challenges.
✔ Work alongside the Customer Experience team to manage last-mile delivery issues, assisting in the resolution of customer queries related to fulfilment and order timelines.
✔ Learn and maintain complex systems and databases, with a focus on accuracy, to ensure all stock, order, and supplier information is consistently up-to-date.
✔ Assist in identifying areas for operational improvement, contributing insights that enhance our supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
✔ Understand SunGod’s triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, and incorporate this into your job role every day.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal person has the following skills, experiences and competencies:
✔ 1-2 years of experience in an operations-based role.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team and with external suppliers.
✔ Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
✔ Strong proficiency with systems and the ability to quickly learn and manage complex systems and databases
✔ Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and accuracy under pressure.
✔ A genuine interest in sports and the outdoors, aligning with our brand values and active community.
