What is the job role?
As Operations Manager, you'll own SunGod's end-to-end operations - from the moment a production order is placed with a supplier, to the moment a product reaches our customer. That means full accountability for our supply chain, inbound logistics, inventory health, and the teams that keep fulfilment running reliably every day.
You'll work closely with our Product, Commercial, Finance and Customer Experience teams, ensuring our operational infrastructure remains scalable, efficient and resilient as SunGod grows globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain & Supplier Relationships
Manage relationships with our supplier network, ensuring reliable production timelines and consistent product quality.
Place and manage production orders aligned to demand forecasts and commercial priorities.
Monitor supplier schedules and proactively manage delays or risks.
Drive improvements in efficiency, cost and operational processes across the supply chain.
Onboard new suppliers to strengthen and de-risk our supply chain.
Inbound Logistics
Coordinate inbound shipments from suppliers to our warehouse and fulfilment partners.
Own relationships with carrier and freight partners at a contract level, leading rate negotiations and renewals to ensure competitive terms.
Handle all shipping documentation and customs requirements.
Maintain visibility of inbound shipments across the business and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and margins.
Coordinate operational setup of new products and ensure all operational requirements are in place ahead of product launches.
Inventory Management
Own inventory accuracy across all our systems.
Monitor stock levels across eCommerce, wholesale and retail, managing allocation to minimise stockouts.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies across systems and physical stock locations.
Develop operational reporting on inventory health, fulfilment performance and supply chain metrics.
Track product defects using return data and customer feedback, working with suppliers on solutions and feeding insights back to the Product team.
Oversee the returns and reverse logistics process, ensuring efficient handling and restocking of returned product.
People & Operations Leadership
Own the operations budget, including freight spend and cost targets, reporting on performance against plan.
Manage our Operations Coordinator, with accountability for 3PL management, order fulfilment and day-to-day operational execution.
Maintain strong cross-functional communication and clear escalation processes for issues affecting customers.
Work with our Sustainability Lead to reduce the environmental impact of our supply chain, guided by SunGod's triple bottom line of people, planet and profit.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal person has the following skills, experiences and competencies:
✔ Solid experience in supply chain, operations or logistics, ideally within a consumer product or eCommerce business.
✔ Strong attention to detail, particularly around data accuracy, process and documentation.
✔ A clear and proactive communicator who keeps the business well-informed.
✔ Experience managing or mentoring others, with a collaborative approach to leadership.
✔ A genuine drive to build and improve, not simply to maintain.
What can we offer you?
Certified B Corporation
Working for a Certified B Corp means joining a community using business as a force for good, contributing to the triple bottom line; People, Planet and Profit.
