Our mission & who we are...
SunGod was born in 2013 with a vision to create the world’s best performance eyewear. We see a better world through our lenses, through our actions and through doing business better.
Our planet is our playground, so we’re a community-built brand that’s sustainable to our core. With you, our mission is multiplied, and together we can See Better.
We’re a dynamic and expanding team. We’re results-driven and expect high-quality output from every team member. We’re unlike any company you’ve ever worked for before.
What is the job role?
We’re looking for a proactive, creative and detail-oriented Performance Marketing Manager to join our growing team.
You’ll deliver and help shape our paid social and search strategy, with hands-on ownership of campaign execution, optimisation, reporting and creative testing. Your focus will be Meta and Google Ads, within a seven-figure annual paid-media budget, with opportunities to develop activity across TikTok, YouTube and new channels as our in-house function develops.
This is not a traditional media-buying role. Alongside managing campaigns, you’ll analyse creative performance, identify customer insights and work with our Creative, Social and Partnerships teams to develop ideas, hooks and briefs that improve performance and strengthen the SunGod brand.
You’ll work closely with our Head of Performance Marketing, with clear scope to grow your channel, budget and strategic ownership. In your first six months, you'll become our day-to-day lead for Meta and Google Ads campaign management, helping establish a structured creative testing roadmap and identifying opportunities to improve performance as we build our in-house function.
Key Responsibilities
✓ Deliver and optimise campaigns: Build, launch and optimise paid-media campaigns across Meta and Google Ads, supporting TikTok and YouTube activity over time.
✓ Manage performance: Take day-to-day responsibility for campaign budgets and performance across Meta and Google Ads, monitoring revenue, acquisition costs and efficiency, and making informed adjustments in line with forecasts and commercial goals.
✓ Develop performance creative: Own the paid-media creative testing process, analysing ad-level performance, identifying winning themes, hooks and formats, and working with our creative teams to develop concepts, briefs and structured test plans.
✓ Drive full-funnel growth: Plan prospecting, remarketing, product launch and international growth activity.
✓ Report and recommend: Analyse and report on campaign performance, identifying trends, opportunities and areas for improvement, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations.
✓ Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Creative, Social, Partnerships, Tech and Ecom to deliver campaigns that support both brand and commercial objectives.
✓ Build the function: Help shape and establish the processes, reporting and testing frameworks that support our in-house performance marketing function.
✓ Live our values: Understand SunGod’s triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, and reflect these principles in your work.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal person will have:
✓ Ideally 3–6 years’ paid-media experience, either in-house or agency-side.
✓ Strong hands-on experience across Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, including campaign setup, optimisation, budget management and performance analysis. Experience with Google Shopping or Performance Max is particularly valuable.
✓ Proven ability to analyse campaign performance, identify opportunities and make independent, commercially informed optimisation decisions.
✓ Strong commercial understanding of paid-media performance, including ROAS, CPA, budget efficiency and how channel performance contributes to wider business objectives.
✓ A strong interest in creative, customer behaviour and performance-led content.
✓ Experience contributing to creative briefs, testing plans or campaign concepts.
✓ A proactive and organised working style, with strong attention to detail.
✓ Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
✓ A desire to take on greater responsibility and broader channel ownership.
Additional experience that would be beneficial
✓ TikTok Ads or YouTube experience.
✓ Ecom or DTC experience.
✓ Experience working with creators, UGC or paid-partnership content.
✓ Basic video-editing skills using Edits, CapCut, Canva or similar tools.
✓ Familiarity with Shopify, GA4 or performance-reporting platforms.
Don’t tick every box? If you’re strong on both creative and data, we’d still love to hear from you.
Benefits
✓ Flexible working hours and hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from anywhere for three weeks per year
✓ 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
✓ Annual performance-based reviews and bonus scheme
✓ Professional training, life-skills and development budget
✓ Free mental-health support with unlimited access to Spill therapy
✓ Cycle to Work scheme and annual bike servicing
✓ HealthShield Cash Plan
✓ Monthly financial-health benefit
✓ 16 hours of fully paid volunteering annually
✓ Charitable donation matching
Flexible working
We thrive with high-performing individuals, offering both growth and flexibility in return. We prioritise your impact, not the time spent at a desk. We encourage the team to fit in hobbies and personal commitments around their work time, ensuring objectives are met and output is always to the highest standard. As a collaborative team, we value a minimum of 3 days in the office each week, fostering our close-knit team.
Hiring process
We aim to keep our hiring process straightforward and give you a chance to demonstrate your experience, skills and approach.
Initial screening call: An introduction to SunGod, the role and your experience.
Short practical task and presentation: A short exercise designed to understand your approach to paid media, creative thinking and commercial decision-making.
Final interview: Meet the wider team, learn more about our culture and discuss how you could contribute to SunGod's growth.
